Ways You Can Volunteer
CHILDREN & FAMILY HOSPITALITY VOLUNTEER
Child and family hospitality volunteers play an important role in creating a comfortable, welcoming and safe environment for those we serve.
Duties may include helping our Client Relations Specialist and Receptionist provide snacks, beverages and general hospitality. You may initiate craft time with children, organize the playroom, restock hospitality stations and perform general tasks to support our team and make families feel at ease.
Administration volunteers often support our Victim Services and Education staff. Duties may include general admission support such as database entry and filing.
Education volunteers assist with our free child and adult education training programs on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of each month. The trainings include presentations of our Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse curriculum for adults and our ROAR curriculum for kids ages 4-8.
Volunteer duties may include leading the ROAR program, and assisting with crafts, childcare and hospitality for guests.
Our beautification volunteers help keep our campus looking great. Our campus has six houses each with a front yard and a back yard to maintain. Group and individual duties may include planting flowers, cleaning up lawns and playgrounds, and general beautification efforts.
special event planning committee
Event planning committee volunteers help with our two main annual fundraisers, Brave Ball and Stand Up for Kids, as well as other small events throughout the year.
Volunteers are encouraged to promote events, gather and organize items for auctions and other fundraising activities, and help with the planning and executing of events.
