Oklahoma’s children are in crisis. The CARE Center will see reports of child abuse and neglect triple for the remainder of 2020. But when Oklahoma faces the impossible, we unite.

Oklahoma First Lady Sarah Stitt and The CARE Center are teaming up to face the crisis head on. Together, we are launching a challenge to raise $250,000 to help Oklahoma children.

We need you to join us. Are you in?

Know that a contribution to Sarah’s Challenge ensures that your dollars will stay local and support The CARE Center’s critical victim services for children who have suffered abuse. Services that include child-friendly forensic interviews, trauma-informed mental health services, medical and wellness exams, and family advocacy for non-offending family members.

A Note from Sarah....

We know that teachers and school counselors are key when it comes to identifying and reporting child abuse. Many children have been away from school for more than five months, and tragically, many have experienced abuse during that time.

As kids head back to class and these safe adults begin to seek help for the children in their care, we want to make sure the services they need are free and available. That’s why I’m asking for help from you. The CARE Center is Oklahoma County’s child advocacy center, and they need help now.

More Ways to Help

The CARE Center is working to expand our facilities to help even more children! Expansion at The CARE Center will allow us to meet our growing needs as a child abuse organization and better prepare us for the future.

The nearly 7,000 square feet facility will allow us to better accommodate multi-disciplinary, community, and prevention education trainings; collaborate in response to child abuse investigations; serve clients with improved spaces, especially play orientation, medical, and mental health; and enhance healing for our families.
