Empowering Change: Ways to Support CARE’s Mission Against Child Abuse
One of the questions we are frequently asked is, “How can I get involved and support CARE?” Giving back to the community is one of the most important aspects of CARE’s mission.
We feel it’s our responsibility to provide resources to families, educate the community about abuse to increase awareness and prevention, and share information about the services CARE provides child abuse victims and their families. - Volunteering: One of the easiest ways to support CARE is to volunteer at our facility. We are always on the lookout for reliable personnel to help us with various duties such as helping our staff provide snacks and hospitality to our visitors. - Donating: If you would like to support us, but don’t have time in your schedule to volunteer you can always donate to CARE! Your donations allow us to provide victim services and provide practical and effective prevention education to children and families in Central Oklahoma. Donate here!
- Sponsorships: We also provide opportunities to sponsor our annual fundraising events such as Stand Up For Kids and Brave Ball. These events allow us to interact with the community and raise funds for The CARE Center. Sponsorships play a huge role in ensuring these events can occur on an exceptional level. - Amazon Wishlist: While providing services for our community we frequently encounter situations where children and families require clothing or a meal. Your support through purchases from our Amazon Wishlist or even Amazon gift cards enables us to supply essential items for child abuse victims and their families. - Events: One of our favorite ways people show their support for CARE is by participating in our events! We savor the chance to meet our supporters and build lasting connections with them. All our events are designed to be enjoyable and informative, serving the entire Oklahoma County community! Our next exciting gathering, Brave Ball, is scheduled for April 13th, 2024. - Partnerships: We consistently value partnerships with other institutions to ensure that members of our community receive top-notch services. In many cases, we refer our visitors to these trusted partners when specialized services are required. We have had the good fortune to work with some of the best organizations in Oklahoma from the Latino Community Development Agency to OU Children’s Hospital!
