#ffffff;\">Founded in 2018, The CARE Center&#8217;s mental health program aims to give children and families the long-term and short-term help they need. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon attending your appointment at The CARE Center, we will work with you as a team to determine the best route for your child\u2019s mental health needs.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">The mental health program is designed to support children and ease anxiety before and after their forensic interview, increase referral rates to long-term counseling, and when necessary, implement a comprehensive Special Needs Protocol for any child who requires special accommodations in order to have their best chance of telling their story in a safe environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">The long-term goal is to mitigate trauma and the lifelong effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and therefore reduce the This 8-week program is specifically designed to focus on helping participants heal from past traumas while building positive self-worth.<\/p><p>In a supportive environment, teen girls will explore how their life experiences impact their sense of self. The program has proven results, with participants experiencing increased positive self-worth as they uncover and challenge negative beliefs about themselves.<\/p><p>With a maximum of 10 teens per group, this program meets weekly at The CARE Center, ensuring a personalized and impactful experience for each participant. a timely manner, free of charge. We are a specialized program that is equipped to provide TF-CBT, PCIT, &amp; PSB-CBT. We can provide up to 6 months (about 25 sessions) of therapy for clients who qualify for services. Exact length of services is determined by need, progress, and therapist recommendation. It gives kids a place to process what has happened to them and build healthy coping, communication, and safety skills for the future. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often recommended for children with PTSD. Parent Child Interaction Therapy is sometimes recommended for younger children to increase bonding and attachment with caregivers and improve difficult behaviors. Problematic sexual behavior is often treated with a specific form of cognitive behavior therapy as well (PSB-CBT).
